The Artist Behind Forster Art Studio

Forster Art Studio is the passion project of Contemporary Australian Artist, Rebecca Raveane. Rebecca has been creating and experimenting with art since early childhood and has always turned to art therapy-based activities through tough life events.

We are not your average art studio. We pride ourselves on quirky, out of the box thinking. We believe that art should be about process, connection, experimenting, and expression. We strive to make art an immersive experience.

Our studio has a love for all things creative, we have classes and content available for all abilities and encourage everyone to unleash their creative potential.

Join us in the studio! Together, let's create a world full of inspiration, joy, and boundless imagination.

Rebecca’s work is vibrant, colourful, and layered with patterns.

Life events, experiences, and both the natural and built environments inspire her work. Playful, emotive, thought provoking, and curious.

Living in Forster NSW has recently inspired a lot of coastal themes in artworks.

As a child Rebecca was always taught to be curious and to pay attention to her surroundings. Gardening, bushwalks, swimming, helping animals, watching bugs, getting sandy… always exploring!

Inspiration for artworks often comes from life experiences. Through life’s tough times, Rebecca has learned the importance of art therapy techniques. Coping with a past domestic violence relationship, and fighting cancer are times where art therapy has been particularly important for her. Rebecca loves to share how being creative and expressing yourself can have many benefits to mental health and wellbeing.

Mental health and the human condition are regular themes of Rebecca Raveane’s art.

Rebecca has a degree in Architectural Science, a keen interest in the built environment, and enjoys exploring how we have a sense of place and how we as humans, relate to our surroundings.
